What places did we visit during the Sacred Valley Super Tour?
In the circuit of the Super Sacred Valley of the Incas we will visit different cities and archaeological centers:
Chinchero
The village of Chinchero will be our first point of visit, located near the Piuray lagoon. Chinchero was chosen by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui to build his residence, years after what is now the Colonial Church of Our Lady of Montserrat.
The city of Chinchero is one of the few places in America that still uses traditional fiber dyeing techniques with dyes of vegetable, mineral or animal origin. Chinchero weavers traditionally weave using the double-sided or double-sided warp technique, creating high quality fabrics with traditional designs that reflect their experiences and beliefs. You will be part of a demonstration where the villagers will show you these ancient techniques. .
Salt mines of Maras
Las Salineras de Maras, our second point of visit, belongs to the city of Maras, which was of great importance during the viceroyalty, was the main supplier of salt in the southern highlands, as evidenced by the church and palaces that still display their coats of arms today . . its facades of the local nobility.
The salt pans of Maras surprise the visitor with the more than three thousand fountains they present and which are currently managed by more than 360 families who have inherited this custom and this profession; The marketing of salt is entrusted to the Maras Sal association, which has been taking care of the needs of the community since the late 1980s.
brunette
Moray, the third point of visit, is an example of how Andean man challenged nature and used his geographical environment to exploit it in his favor. These circular platforms served as an agricultural laboratory that allowed, among other products, to harvest a wide variety of potato and corn species.
Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo will be our fourth point of visit, this beautiful Inca city in Peru is the only one still inhabited by local families. Ollantaytambo was a strategic military, agricultural and religious center for the administration and control of this part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Urubamba
Urubamba has a beautiful view of the Sacred Valley, it will be our recharging point to enjoy our Peruvian cuisine, this moment will be for your palate.
pisak
The city of Pisac will be our last point of visit, the city of Pisac has a mestizo architecture built by Viceroy Toledo on indigenous remains. The archaeological complex that constitutes Pisac would have been built between the tenth and eleventh centuries of our era, at the time of the Inca expansion, and would have had urban and religious vocations.

Best Tour I've ever had! Américo gave us the best tour we could ask for.We were 6 peoples, went por 10 days. He made so interesting every place we went with all the history and knowledge that he shared, so it felt different and special his treatment instead of just going, take the picture and go. Also, the experience in the Salkantay trail it was magical and authentic as if we were the Andean man. I was a little bit worried for my 9 y/o son because the route is of high difficulty, but Américo and his crew were very helpful that made it very easy and pleasent for my kid, they answered all his questions and took cared of his needs.
The food was delicious every day of the tour and made by a private chef just for us. In short the crew made sure to cover all our needs.
The whole experience made me fell in love of Peru and its culture. Everyone in my family was please and happy for the amount of details and care.
I would definitely repeat this tour. It exceed my expectations. I hope i can come back and hire KuskAndes Treck for another tour.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Machu Picchu alternative trek - Inka experience Americo went above and beyond to make our experience in Machu Picchu unforgettable! We arrived to Cusco in the middle of the strikes closing the main roads and whilst many tourists ended up trapped, Americo organised an alternative route to make our trip possible. Highly recommend him!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Trek to Machu Picchu Two summers ago my two girlfriends and I did the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. It was simply the most magical experience of my life. This trek is not easy and the altitude is no joke. However, the accomplished feeling you receive when you finally catch a glimpse of Machu Picchu is unmatched and totally worth every mile climbed. We complete our trek with Terrias Vivas, and had some issues. But our guide, Americo, became like a best friend to us (it was only the three of us and the guide for our trip). I was so happy to hear that he recently opened his own trekking company because he is amazing! He is SO intelligent and can identify nearly every single flower, plant, bird, etc. that he sees. He has such a kind heart and I wish that everyone hiking the Andes had the opportunity to have him as their guide.
In conclusion, this tour is definitely worth it. Again, Americo is incredible and I walked away with not only photos of incredible views, increased knowledge of culture and history, and full bellies but I also gained a great friend in the process!
